In 1965, the Trades and Labor Assembly was asked by the City of Albert Lea Housing Authority if it would be interested in sponsoring a Housing Project for Senior Citizens. The Officers of the Assembly embarked on a project, resulting in the building of Senior Court, 915 Maplehill Drive and its dedication on November 13, 1971. There being further need for senior housing, another project was undertaken and Senior Tower was dedicated October 17,1981
